WINONA, Minn. — Fueled by the hot hands of #Jessica Thone# (Woodbury, Minn.) and #Jess Miller# (Carver, Minn.), the Saint Mary's University women's basketball team raced out to a comfortable nine-point, 42-33 halftime advantage, but Augsburg turned the tables in the game’s final 20 minutes, outscoring SMU 36-25 — including a game-winning jumper by Serenae Levine with three seconds remaining in regulation — in handing Saint Mary’s a 69-67 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory Friday.

Andrew Warren
Baseball
Warren hit a team-leading .435 in the Cardinals' seven games last week, collecting 10 hits in 23 at-bats. He also scored five times and drove in three runs as SMU went 3-4 in its seven contests last week. The junior left-fielder finished with 11 total bases an a .478 slugging percentage. He also made 56 putouts with three assists defensively.
Erin Stenseth
Softball
Stenseth hit .467 in the Cardinals' eight games last week, collecting 14 hits — including four doubles — in 30 at-bats. The SMU freshman, who also scored five runs and drove in seven, boasted a .600 slugging percentage and a .484 on-base percentage, while making seven putouts in left field.

Sarah Gardner collected 17 kills Wednesday evening vs. Viterbo, giving the SMU senior 1,007 kills for her career. She is the 10th player in SMU volleyball history to eclipse the 1,000 career kills mark.
