The Cardinals are coming off a solid performance at the Hamline and Macalester Twilights on Wednesday. Teri Heinzen (Marshfield, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinal women, collecting a first-place finish in the 100, clocking a time 13.04. Sabrina Larson-Bushlack chipped in a third in the high jump (1.45 meters) and a sixth in the javelin (23.66 meters), while Sara Harstad (Chatfield, Minn.) shared sixth place in the javelin (23.66 meters) and Kathleen Pawlowski (Chicago, Ill.) and #Jamie Stefely (Lisle, Ill.) posted seventh-place efforts in the 400 (1:03.38) and high jump (1.40 meters), respectively. … Andrew Brueggen (Holmen, Wis.) and Ryan Wockenfus (New London, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinal men at the Macalester Twilight, as Brueggen placed fourth in the hammer throw (56.09 meters) and Wockenfus placed fifth in the javelin (48.59 meters). … Brueggen, who earned All-American honors with his fourth-place effort in the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor National Championships in March, has provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships with his school-record toss of 55.19 at the outdoor season-opening Lee Krough Invitational. … Brueggen's hammer throw at the Lee Krough is also the top throw in the MIAC this season, while Wockenfus ranks fifth in the MIAC in the javelin (50.19) and Kevin Hein (Zumbro Falls, Minn.) owns the MIAC's seventh-best discus throw (43.23 meters). … On the women's side, Heinzen is among the top MIAC performers in both the 100 (7th / 12.84) and 200 (4th / 26.12), while Sara Harstad (Chatfield, Minn.) is sixth in the hammer (42.85 meters) and Coco Booker () is seventh in the shot put (11.81 meters).
