The Cardinal men are coming off a 10th-place finish at the 2009 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships and a 19th-place effort at the NCAA Central Regional. The SMU women, meanwhile, were 11th at the conference championships and  22nd at the regional meet. … The Cardinal men return their top six runners, led by junior David Feather (Oakbrook, Ill.), who was the team's top finisher in each of the team's first six meets, including a season-best 8K time of 26:44 at the Jim Drews Invitational. … Peter Borash (Bowlus, Minn.) was second to Feather in each of those first six meets, then posted his best 8K time of the season at the regional meet, stopping the clock in 27:05. … Joanna Pace (Minoqua, Wis.) is the top returner for the SMU women. The senior recorded a season-best 6K time of 25:01 at the central regional meet.
