DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Saint Mary's University women's soccer team hits the road on Sunday, as the Cardinals travel to Loras for a 7 p.m. nonconference contest against the Duhawks.

The Duhawks, coming off a 17-7-3 season and a berth in the NCAA Tournament a year ago, enter 2012 ranked No. 15 in the NSCAA Preseason Poll. … After outscoring its opponents 75-18 a year ago — recording 14 shutouts, including 2-0 and 1-0 wins in the IIAC Tournament and a 2-0 win over UM-Morris in the opening game of the NCAA Regional — Loras picked up right where it left off Friday, blanking Bethel 6-0. … With Friday's win over Bethel, the Duhawks are now 11-1-2 in their last 14 games — Loras went 10-1-2 on their home turf in 2011, with the only loss a 4-0 setback to Calvin in the NCAA Tournament. … Loras played three overtime games last season — with all three ending in ties. … Brad Joiner scored three of Loras' six goals vs. the Royals on Friday night, while Louie Oswald added a pair of tallies and Tim van den Bergh accounted for the other. … Dylan Milkent picked up the win in goal vs. Bethel Friday, stopping both shots he faced. … Milkent is replacing Nate DuBois, who started 22 of the team's 23 games as a senior a year ago, compiling a 0.87 goals-against-average and a .763 save percentage. … Loras graduated eading scorer Donald St. George, who boasted team-highs in goals (8) and points (22).
