ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota swimming and diving teams return to St. Paul for the second weekend in a row, as the Cardinals head to Macalester Saturday to take part in the Roger Ahlma Invitational.

• November 16, 2013: P.J. Heller (St. Cloud, Minn.), Joe Tonda (St. Paul, Minn.) and Evan Lecy (St. Paul, Minn.) led the way for the Cardinal men, as the trio each posted at least one fourth-place effort in leading Saint Mary's to a fourth-place finish. On the women's side, Anna Smaron (Maple Plain, Minn.), Rose Berg-Arnold (St. Joseph, Minn.), Marit Christianson (Cottage Grove, Minn.) and Grace VanBeest (Flossmoor, Ill.) all recorded top 10 showings in leading the Cardinals to a seventh-place effort. | Recap

Janelle Mueller (Lewiston, Minn.) and Reese Galewski (Winona, Minn.) each recorded a first-place performance in their first collegiate meets last Saturday at the Hamline Invitational. Mueller won the three-meter diving competition, totaling 179.25 points, Galewski collected her first in the 100 butterfly (1:02.50). … Galewski also added a second in the 200 IM (2:27.90) and a ninth in the 500 freestyle (6:08.57). … Along with her first in the 3-meter diving competition, Mueller added a fourth-place finish in the one-meter (168.10). … Katie Heller (St. Cloud, Minn.) posted a third-place time of 58.48 in the 100 freestyle and added a sixth-place showing in the 50 freestyle (26.77). … Grace VanBeest (Flossmoor, Ill.) chipped in a pair of fourth-place performances in the 200 IM (2:29.34) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.35). … Marit Christianson (Cottage Grove, Minn.) and Anne Raecker (Cedar Falls, Iowa) also recorded top 10 efforts at last Saturday's Hamline Invitational, with Christianson placing sixth in the 1,000 freestyle (12:56.77) and Raecker adding an eighth in the 200 freestyle (2:21.56). … Zac Finkelstein (Naperville, Ill.) led the way for the Cardinal men last weekend, collecting a fourth-place time of 22.90 in the 50 freestyle in his collegiate debut.
