WINONA, Minn.  — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's hockey team returns home for the second game of its two-game Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series against St. Thomas Sunday, as the Cardinals host the 12th-ranked Tommies in a 5 p.m. matchup at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena.

The Cardinals' 1-0 win in the shootout vs. St. Thomas Saturday was its first shootout in the two years since the MIAC added it to the end of tied games. … Martin Gruse (Trenton, Mich.), Jed McGlasson (Kenai, Alaska) and Mike Mezzano (Woodbury, Minn.) tallied the Cardinals' three goals vs. the Tommies Saturday, while Jonathan Elliott (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) netted the shootout winner. … McGlasson has now scored three goals in the Cardinals' last two games, while Gruse has netted one goal in Saint Mary's last two games. … McGlasson recorded the second two-goal game of his career with a pair of goals vs. Concordia on Nov. 2.
