ASTON, Pa. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota volleyball team has been unstoppable in regular-season tournament play this season, heading into the opening day of the Neumann Invitational Friday with an unblemished 12-0 record.
And Keystone and Penn State-Behrend could do nothing to keep that mark from ballooning to 14-0.
The Cardinals pushed their winning streak to 5-0, sweeping past Keystone and PSU-Behrend 3-0.
Brandi Blattner (Eyota, Minn.) led the way for the Cardinals against Keystone, collecting 13 kills, while also hitting .250.
Lillian Braun (Mantorville, Minn.) and
Brittney Hanson (Janesville, Iowa) collected 21 and 14 assists, respectively.
Morgan Thomas (Palos Park, Ill) finished with a team-best 19 digs, while Blattner completed her eighth double-double with 13 digs.
Blattner continued her offensive charge in the Cardinals' second match against PSU-Behrend, recording 20 kills, while also leading the way with a .349 attack percentage. Hanson recorded a season-high 30 assists, and Thomas chipped in a team-best 20 digs.
The Cardinals (19-2 overall) close out regular-season tournament play on Saturday, squaring off against host Neumann (10 a.m.) and Rowan (2 p.m.) in the final two matches of the Neumann Invitational.
