HAM LAKE, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's golf team, coming off a dual-match win over Macalester on Thursday, were looking to pick up right where they left off during the first round of the Augsburg Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Blair Sanders (Lee's Summit, Mo.) was able to come close to his Thursday performance, as Saint Mary's is sitting 16
th after the opening day of the 36-hole tournament.
Sanders, who shot a two-over 74 on Thursday, put together a five-over 77 Saturday and is tied for 14
th individually.
Kyle Brodt (Roseville, Minn.) chipped in n 80, while
Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) added an 82 and
David Iten (Plymouth, Minn.) finished with a 90.
Saint John's carded a 305 to grab a three-shot lead over Bethel heading into Sunday's final round, while Nebraska Wesleyan (311), UW-Eau Claire (313), Augsburg (314), and St. Thomas (314) round out the top six.
Saint John's Ryan Gallagher and Alex Syverson of St. Thomas carded the low round of the afternoon, shooting identical 74, with Brett Gaustad of Augsburg, Nathaniel Kahlbaugh of Cocordia and Matt Unruh of Nebraska Wesleyan one shot back with 75s.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament concludes Sunday, with another 18 holes at Majestic Oaks Golf Club
