GELENA, Ill. — For the second day in a row, Bryce Galewski was among the best golfers at the Midwest Region Classic, as the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota sophomore followed up his career-best one-over-par 73 with a five over 77 Saturday to lead the Cardinal men's golf team to a seventh-place finish.

With his 150 two-day total, Galewski finished in a tie for fourth individually, six shots back of tournament medalist Zach Hentrich of Edgewood, who posted back-to-back rounds of 72 for a 144 36-hole total.

Edgewood took home the team title with a 620 two-day total, edging out Wheaton (Ill.) and Carthage by one shot. Aurora and Luther finished tied for fourth at 626, while Lake Forest was sixth (627) and Saint Mary's was seventh (628).

Brett Jackson chipped in a 157 36-hole total for Saint Mary's, adding a second-round 79 to go with his opening-round 78, while Kyle Brodt finished at 158 (81-77), followed by Blair Sanders (84-80—164) and Tyler Dove (83-86—168).

The Cardinals are back in action next Saturday and Sunday, taking part in the 36-hole Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational at the Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wis.
