Hunter Rau (Plainview, Minn.) carded a team-leading 78 in helping the Cardinals to a dual-meet win over Macalester in the annual MacMary Dual,
Juan Sanchez (Bogota, Columbia) took center stage Saturday.
Sanchez carded a seven-over-par 79 to lead the way for the Cardinals during the opening round of the 36-hole Augsburg Invitational at Majestic Oaks Golf Course.
Rau followed up his season-opening 78 with an 81 on Saturday—a score matched by
Owen Blakely (Elmhurst, Ill.) and
Kyle Brodt (Roseville, Minn.), while
Bobby McNaney (Mendota Heights, Minn.) rounded out the Cardinal lineup with an 88.
Tyler Dove (Hudson, Wis.) led a trio of Saint Mary's players competing as individuals, shooting a 79, with
Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) adding an 83 and
Blair Sanders (Lee's Summit, Mo.) finishing with an 89.
